Psalm 139:9
"If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea ...you are there."
3:30 a.m. is early. But I have discovered that a once starving dog still thinks she is starving even when she is pudgy and it is 3 hours before breakfast. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, like God, the hungry dog is there. If I settle on the far side of the living room, she is there, looking plaintively at the food closet.
As I fly through the clouds, with my contacts glued to the inside of my eyeballs, I will look out over the clouds and maybe catch a glimpse of the Grand Canyon. I get to gather with my newest nephew, and my first niece to get married. Everywhere I turn, God is there and when I wake up, I intend to sing praise.

Three-thirty AM! A dedicated blogger, I'd say! I'm impressed. But more than that I am blessed. I love the wonderful truth that no matter where we are in all the world, He is there! We cannot flee from His presence. Nor should we desire to do so if He is our Father.
ReplyDeleteI just learned that a dear life-long friend (80 years old) and servant of God is in Haiti on a missions trip. No word has been heard from him. My heart aches, but I know that God is there with him just as much as He is with His wife & family in South Carolina.
I especially cherish the truth of God's omnipresence when I have to be separated from my loved ones for any reason. I can be in Charlotte, NC, and my children spread throughout the country or even abroad, and I can rest in the assurance that Father is surely with them as much as He is with me.
Hope you have a wonderful trip, Vicky!
