I get to go sing in the darkness again today. Monday is my regular day to volunteer at the abortion center. It is a cold morning, but at least they are no longer predicting snow, and the rain might hold off till we are done there.
Yesterday, I began promoting my new book which tells of my work as a sidewalk counselor. I had to write a summary of what prompted me to write the book at one of the promotion sites. I liked it so much, I pasted it below.
I felt the call of God to do something about the horror of abortion for years, but didn't know what to do. Then, I began reading about a group of people who went to the abortion center sidewalks, and were actually persuading unbelievable numbers of women not to abort!
I went to the training session in order to gain inside information for the book I felt I should write. But then, God grabbed a hold of my heart. I forgot about the book, and became a sidewalk counselor at one of the busiest abortion centers in the Southeast.
I have had the incredible pleasure of not only leading many women to choose life over abortion, but to commit their lives to God. What began as a literary endeavor became a life-changing mission.
For over two years, I have volunteered on the sidewalks with Cities4Life team members, proclaiming life. We have been threatened with guns, fists, vile insults, and cars trying to run us down. None of that matters. What matters is over 540 women chose not to abort last year as a result of God's redeeming truths...and I was privileged to be used in that endeavor.
This book is my victory dance before God.

Vicky, I can't wait to ready it. I am sharing it with the group at Moody, and adding then to consider you as a speaker for our women's Christmas luncheon. Or an other one of our functions. I'm also sharing it with Nehemiah Leaders, this is a group of Pastors and people like me who meet to pray for Chicagoland.
