Signs of God Abound

I scurried this mama goose and her babies off the sidewalk of the abortion center where I volunteer every Monday to encourage Mamas to choose life.
"Go away Mama Goose," I said, waving my arms, "This is not a safe place for babies. This is where they kill babies."

Surprisingly, the mama goose did not attack me. She led her babies away. What a symbol of why God has called me and the other sidewalk counselors to be there! Our job is to direct the mamas away from this terrible place. We are to encourage them to save their babies, and flee.

It was a good day, and not only for the geese. Two mamas chose life. One listened intently as I presented the Gospel to her on the RV following her ultrasound. She was not quite ready to accept Jesus as Lord, but did want me to add her to my daily email list to which I send encouraging Bible verses.

She wasn't sure she should trust the Bible was true. It is very good that I have had classes with some awesome teachers in apologetics. I knew enough to give her a list of why she could trust the Bible was true and accurately preserved for thousands of years. Here is a good website that gives some of the top reasons: http://www.essentialbibleblog.com/2013/03/top-10-reasons-bible-is-true.html

I asked her if she believed in God. She did, but had a lot of doubts. I told her my own story of turning from unbelief to faith. I had a tiny kernel of faith, and a mountain of doubt. However, I did choose Jesus, and my entire purpose in life changed at that moment. Over the years of following Jesus, that faith became a mountain, and the doubt a kernel.

I asked if she had prayed to the God she didn't quite believe in as she drove to the abortion center.
She nodded, surprised at the question. (It's surprising how many people pray to a God they don't trust, believe in, or obey.)
"Did you ask Him for a sign of what you should do?" I asked her.
She nodded again.
"Did He send you a sign?"
"Yes," she said, "He sent all of this." She swept her hand around the HELP Crisis Pregnancy Center mobile unit. "And all of you."

Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
