I will be walking, recuperating from surgery, and editing my new book which should be out within a few weeks. Therefore, I am taking a few days off from blogging to focus on those endeavors. In the mean time, July 11-18 my first book, I'm Listening with a Broken Ear, is on sale for 99 cents! (ebook). If you don't have it, it is tied for my favorite with Joe -- The Horse Nobody Loved.
Those should keep you busy till I return. Meanwhile, the doctor says no kayaking, bicycling, running, or any exerting sport other than walking for a MONTH. I will be out walking if you need me....
However, before my hiatus, I am horrified along with the whole country over the violence over the past few days. I have beloved relatives who are police officers, really in every way "the good guys." They grew up wanting to get the bad guys and save the world. That is what most police officers are like. My heart is heavy over the broad-brush bashing of the people who brave death every day to protect us. My heart breaks for any injustice or prejudice that remains in ignorant, evil people. I know God's heart breaks too. I pray that a few terrible people do not identify the masses. I am in prayer as I walk, and walk, and walk....
Hi Vicky, it is a sad thing we see happening in this country and around the world. Jesus is the only cure but the world loves the darkness and the darkness does not understand the light. I am available for walking.
