You Can't Take It With You, Folks!

The Sanctity of Life, watercolor, 16x20

I spent part of the day marketing my new book, which if you have not purchased, why not? It is less than $3 and I guarantee will make you feel happy. Just do it. I will wait. Like all my books, there is a funny story with a cozy mystery, animals galore, and a deeper message about God, love, and redemption. It is also safe for the whole family to read. How many books can you say that about??? You can buy it HERE.

The rest of the day, I cleaned out my closet. Yes, I know. I told you that yesterday AND the day before. It is a big closet and I have had it for twenty years. You would not believe what I found in that closet.

For example, the painting of the horse and her foal above was in that closet. Would you like to see what other treasures I found? (I promise, I will not post a picture of the twenty pairs of shoes I haven't seen in a decade which I found in that closet and will be re-homed to Goodwill.)

I still have an entire wall, floor to ceiling, to claw my way through in the closet. However, 3/4ths of it is now clean and cleared. I have sent bazillions of bags off to Goodwill or the trash. Memories of two decades have been surfacing. It has been an excruciating process.

Have I learned anything? Has God shown me a special message?

Yes.

Take photos of your memories, and then throw things out or give them away. I promise you, you do NOT want to go through what I am going through. NO ONE wants a dried up umbilical cord that is 30 years old, or teeth in a little plastic case with bits of blood specks still on them. NO ONE. Not even the mother of the child those pieces came off of.

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, FOLKS.

I am having a HUGE art sale. Make an offer. ANY offer. Most will not be refused. My work sold for $300-$800 in galleries, but almost all I will sell for $100-$200. I might even throw in a free ebook of my new release Unlikely Friends, if you promise to write an honest review on Amazon.

Here is the link to my artwork:

If you live in the Charlotte area, message me at vickychooseslife@yahoo.com . We can arrange for you to cart away boatloads of art work, at cut rate pricing. I am likely to throw in free ones. If not in the area, I will ship, and most will cost you around $15 or so to ship.

I have no idea how I had the time to produce so much art. Did I ever sleep? It doesn't seem like all I did was paint for the past 50 years, but I can't explain all this art otherwise.

This is not a very spirit-filled blog. Sorry. I am totally worn out cleaning and organizing all my creative output.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal, But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.…
