To insure I didn't miss it, I was up at 5 a.m., with both my computer and phone plugged in beside me, Bible on my lap, coffee on the end table. I called it "Eagle Command Central." No way was that baby gonna be born without me seeing it!

So most of yesterday was spent camped out at Command Central. I got lots of wonderful screenshots. Here is one of proud papa, M15, sitting on a branch and looking at his little family.
I loved it when M15 came flying in with food for Junior. Harriet greeted him with happy shrieks, and little E9 chirped. What a beautiful little family.
I was so consumed with the eagles, that New Year's Eve came and went with barely a thought. I am glad 2016 is over however. I would not wish it away because it came chock full of lessons about God and contentment. However, it was a year of being diagnosed and treated for cancer. I still have a frozen shoulder and likely many months of recovery ahead of me for that.
So I can't say I will miss 2016. But this sweet little eaglet was born on the last day of my very hard year, and seems to me to be a symbol of hope, a reminder that all things will be made new.
Happy New Year.

Isaiah 65:17
New Heavens and a New Earth
17 “For behold, I create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.
