I am heading out to the abortion center since I know our Cities4Life teams are often short-handed on Fridays. I volunteered to do so BEFORE I read the weather report. Rookie error! Rain and thunder forecast! Yippeeeee!
At least it is not cold.
Maybe today is the day one of you reading this will decide you want to find out what would compel ANYONE to stand out in the rain in front of an abortion center. Maybe today you will put on your rainboots and yellow rain slicker, and stand beside me. All we expect of "newbies" is to listen and pray. Anyone can do that.
Maybe today you will heed the prompting in your heart to be a voice for the unborn, to intercede where the life and death decision is being made by the dozens today. And if God moves her heart, maybe today a mother will choose life over abortion, and thank you for your presence when she needed one person to encourage her and remind her she is not alone.
God, of course, is always there. Are you?
