The sidewalk of the abortion center was filled with pro-life volunteers yesterday. There were two different large groups there learning about our work and praying as well as several of our regular volunteers.
Two women chose life, and several took our information. There were double the number of pro-life volunteers than abortive moms. It was an amazing show of concern for the unborn and I was glad to be a part of it.
Near the end of the morning, one woman stopped her car and rolled down her window.
“Hello,” I said, “Here is our information with my name and number on it. We have so many resources to help you. Would you consider coming on our RV for a free ultrasound of your baby?”
“Oh I’m not pregnant,” she said.
I turned to her friend in the passenger seat. “How far along are you?” I asked.
“She’s not pregnant either,” the driver said.
“I see. Well all they do here are abortions,” I said.
The woman opened her mouth, but snapped it closed. Pause. “I have to go....I have an appointment.”
“Do you believe in God?” I asked. “I see you have a cross around your neck.”
“I do believe in God but it’s not a cross. It’s an Egyptian Ankh, the symbol for LIFE.”
I raised my eyes brows and waited with the proverbial “pregnant pause.” She smiled, uncomfortably.
“Look, I believe in the right to choose,” she said.
“How about the baby’s right to choose? Does she get a choice in this? What do you think she would choose?”
The woman again opened her mouth to answer, but confused, closed it again.
“I don’t want to be rude, but I have to go,” she said.
“I pray you will reconsider and call me,” I told her.
That woman was in and out of the abortion center several times. Each time, we called to her. When it was time for all of us to leave, the woman was still sitting in her car. I pray that she was trying to discern what the baby’s choice would be.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
