One doesn't expect to see God from the sidewalks of an abortion facility. Yet every time I minister there, my soul is uplifted by some miraculous event that reminds me God is near. We saw three women choose life for their babies, and that is awesome in and of itself. But the most miraculous moment for me was when I was on the RV with the mobile ultrasound unit counseling a sweet mama who knew abortion was wrong. She went from a tearful, frightened mess, afraid of her husband's anger at not doing what he had wanted her to do, to a joyful beaming child of God, saying God had sent messages and messengers to guide her to choose life for her baby.
The video above was one of the most dramatic messages. The video is of a little 7-week old baby, too small to see on the ultrasound. However, unmistakable is the pulsating beacon of flashing light with each beat of her tiny heart. The ultrasound nurse told me she had never seen anything like it.
Every beat of her heart proclaimed life, miraculous life. Every flash of inexplicable light reminded me that in God is life and light.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of
life.”
