Tears From Heaven

It was raining ferociously as we stood on the sidewalks of the abortion center Monday, speaking on behalf of the babies. That's me in the photo with my umbrella hat. My hands must be free to give out literature, or to be clasped in prayer, or to hold a microphone. A regular umbrella doesn't work for me. I am also well known for my huge belly pack. It is chock full with my Bible, baby models, literature, and tracts on who Jesus is. Some have accused me of looking...ridiculous.

That's not all the properly attired sidewalk counselor needs. You can't see my megaphone hanging on my side, because it is blocked by the portable sound system our director brought me to hang around my neck. Some have mocked this get-up. Oh well. I will be as undignified as necessary if it helps proclaim Christ to a world that so desperately needs to hear it.

Look at that umbrella hat from this angle in the picture above. Now if that is not the height of fashion, I don't know what is. It is not unlike the Queen of England in her crazy hats. In this photo, I am carrying a blesssing bag of gifts to a mama that just chose life for her baby. Even in the pouring rain, in front of the city's busiest abortion mill, there is cause for joy.

Now this carside counseling was less wonderful. The man was wavering...but the woman's heart was hardened against her baby. "God is ok with this," the man said, referring to the upcoming abortion. I assured him that was not true. He did allow me to pray for them. Rain was dripping from my umbrella hat into their car.

Two women we know of chose life for their babies yesterday. We all praised God for those babies. The rain was torrential, pouring down on a parking lot filled with forty cars, each with someone intent on ending the precious life within them. Tears from heaven, weeping for those tiny babies.

A little humorous aside as more torrential rain forecast today. This was my morning reading.
The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places. Isaiah 58:11

John 11:35

Jesus wept.

Matthew 10:28

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
