Dogs For Choice

The sign on this dog says, “Dogs for Choice”. The owner, who stands on the sidewalk in opposition to us who offer the choice of resources that could encourage abortion minded moms to choose life did not speak to me when I told her the dog was really cute and would she mind if I took his picture? I figure if he was a dog for choice, then he would support my right to choose to photograph him.

Meanwhile, two women did choose life, and one abortion worker texted me while I was on the sidewalk. She told me she could not stand it any more, that she could no longer work for “dirty money” and she wanted help in her decision to leave once and for all.

Now there’s a choice I could dig my teeth into if I were a dog for choice. I would also wag my tail...but the dog for choice above has no tail. I wonder if he would choose a tail if he had a real choice in the matter? In fact, I wonder if he would stand on that sidewalk at all if he had a choice. I suspect he would rather curl up on a nice soft couch with a milk bone.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

  1. I am praying for strength for that clinic worker and for others to come alongside of her to support her decision. She is in for a huge spiritual battle - the enemy will work his evil ways to sow seeds of doubt. Father - please protect this woman, place people around her to protect her and her family as she leaves this killing place. Open her heart to know you and your healing grace. May she be used in a nightly way to bring others to know you and the horrors of that killing place. Father protect those who are faithful to you on the sidewalks in front of these places all over the world. Thank you for calling them to your service.
