It was such an inauspicious and humble beginning. Just two or three plants and a whole lot of open ugly dirt. I was dubious that our little angel would ever reside over a beautiful garden. She was the angel of hope...but not much else, surrounded by an empty field of dirt.
I learned some pretty interesting things when I researched Vinca Vines. They are fast growing, and pretty easy to grow...in fact, the gardener must take care or they will take over the entire garden! This would not be a problem for me since nothing I want to grow ever grows, so something that just needs a little nudge sending a fast cover of green and flowers is welcome in my yard anytime!
God sends such wonderful messages. We are sometimes plopped in the middle of seemingly barren places, places with little hope, with little opportunity to grow, let alone to thrive. And then He works His miracles. If we are obedient, and we send out our tendrils as He guides and commands, blessings blossom. Soon, we are in the midst of a verdant garden, with the scent of His presence all around us. He promises overflowing abundance when we faithfully follow Him, and proclaim His message. Once His word is sent out, there is NO stopping it. It completely takes over and transforms the world.
Things looked awfully bleak around my little garden angel last summer...but just look at the profusion of green around her now!

Speaking of growth, my new book, Joe-The Horse Nobody Loved is still #1 and comments are pouring in to me from people who have told me the couldn't put it down! One said, "Laugh out loud funny...and made me want to run out and hug my horse." I am elated. Many asked about print books since I usually only advertise the ebook. Here is the site for the printbook: http://www.amazon.com/Joe-Horse-Nobody-Loved/dp/1511515724/ref=tmm_pap_title_0 )
