As if the City Has Nothing Better to Do Than Impede Pro-Life Counseling Efforts....

Here are Charlotte city officials confiscating Cites4Life property. They claim we are blocking the sidewalk with the shade canopy we all walk freely under, and that has been used by C4L for years. Perhaps you find this repugnant and an overstepping of government power as we do. We did not resort to violence or in any way prevent their bullying abuse of power, of course. We have all signed a peaceable code of conduct, but we do not feel this was an appropriate use of city energy or resources.

If you don't either, maybe send a little note to the city manager, Marcus Jones.

Meanwhile, two women chose life while we stood in the hot sun (without our shade canopy) urging them to consider the humanity of the sweet child God created within them. As usual, we offered a whole assortment of resources and services, using no tax dollars and continuing to help countless women and families through private donations and volunteers.

While the city officials were confiscating our tent, I stood with sweat dribbling off my nose arranging housing options for a homeless family we are helping. Good thing the city has its priorities straight! Wouldn't want too much shade on the sidewalk!

I will be back out there this morning in the hot sun, wondering if the city officials in their air-conditioned offices ever consider the dozens of babies who die each day while a few committed Christians speak on their behalf. Do they ever bother to find out about the homeless families we are finding homes for, or the families to whom we are bringing groceries, clothes, and furniture, or the baby showers we provide to all who choose life, or the mentorship programs, or the financial counseling, or the prayers and tears on their behalf?

Probably not. The don't have time. They are too busy folding shade tents they have seized to worry about actual little humans being ripped apart limb by limb in a building a hundred feet away and the sweating volunteers standing in the hot sun there to intercede and offer real choice.

One of those homeless families who chose life is in temporary housing and we need funds to keep them there. Please donate HERE.

Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
