I have a friend who takes pictures of the sunrise almost every morning and posts them on facebook. It never ceases to cheer me, particularly since he is someone who endured great loss and the picture of hope moves me. I am often up before the sun, but I usually am already busy at work, and don't see the sunrise. Besides, our street is filled with tall trees and the horizon is mostly blocked from view. But this morning when I glanced out the window as I got up, I saw a pretty sunrise with all those beautiful colors that remind me God paints a new picture every morning.
It is not an easy life. There are so many struggles, hurts, misunderstandings that make our view drab and cheerless at times. But it is hard not to see God's message of renewal every morning, when the entire sky is declaring it.
