Being a Vessel Created And Used for God's Purpose

Connie, a bilingual Cities4Life counselor who is invaluable in reaching Hispanic women at the abortion center
This is Connie, incredibly valuable as she speaks Spanish fluently. We see many Hispanic women come to the abortion center, and Connie always grabs their attention when she speaks to them in Spanish. Connie brings five to six other young volunteers each time she comes. She is always bursting with enthusiasm and energy, which energizes all those around her. Her zeal for the Lord flows out of her, and it is accompanied with wisdom and truth.

She admitted that the first few times she came, she felt fear. She knew that Satan would do everything he could do dissuade her from this work, and so she "prayed through" her fear. A new volunteer, Connie has already led one woman to the Lord and stopped many Hispanic women from entering the abortion center. Let Connie tell you herself what compels her to withstand her fears, and stand on the sidewalk with Cities4Life.

I want to be a vessel to help others see the blessing of life. I was born in NY. My mother was young and  inexperienced. She got pregnant with me and my father left her as soon as he knew she was expecting. She was afraid to have a baby.  She wanted to have an abortion. My aunt encouraged her not to abort me, so my mother decided she would have me. I am so thankful to the Lord for his mercies.

I am so thankful everyday for life. I want to share with others the blessings that  I have experienced in life and that an unborn child can live to experience life just as I was given the opportunity.  Psalm 127:3  Lo, children are an heritage Of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

I married and have three beautiful children. My oldest son is married and I am hoping one day to have grandchildren. I came to know my savior when I was 17.  My desire is to help mothers to see the gift children are. Children are a gift from God. I want them to know that God is there to help them.  God will never leave us or forsake us. He promises he will be with us to the end. We on our own can not love as we should, but the love that God has put in us is what moves us to love others as Christ loves them.  It is not in our own strength that we love or care about others, but by the grace of God. Thus it is nothing about which we can boast but only to glorify Our Heavenly Father.

Before He came into our life, the Bible says all our works were filthy rags. Even all of our righteous acts were filthy until Christ came into our lives. He made all things new in me. He can do the same in you. This is my testimony. I want to give Him the glory in all I do. I want to please Him and honor Him. As I am here on this earth I have a purpose, a mission. The mission  is to share the love of Christ wherever I go and to speak to others about His salvation, eternal life, and His grace and mercy.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me my grace is sufficient for thee. For my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

May the Lord be with you
