They Spend Their Summer Doing WHAT????

Mark, Drew, and Zack stand for life
More and more young people are joining us on the sidewalks as volunteers standing for life at the Southeast's busiest abortion center. Yesterday, these three fine young men held signs and offered literature to cars passing by on the way to abort a baby. They come with their mother with a clear understanding that what happens at the abortion center is wrong, and they desire to be part of the solution. They tell us why they spend one of their last days of summer ministering at an abortion center trying to save the unborn rather than doing all the thousands of other wonderful things young people do in the last few days of summer.

We come out to the abortion center at Latrobe during our summer break with our mom who is a sidewalk counselor on Tuesdays. This is our fourth summer to do this.

Drew: The reasons why I want to come out is to be a voice for the voiceless. Abortion destroys families and I want to do what I can to help stop that from happening. I like Cities4Life because the ministry is not only about saving babies' lives but also about ministering to and walking alongside moms and dads. They care about the souls of the adults making the decision as well as about the unborn baby.

Mark: I go out to the mill because abortion is murder and I want to take a stand against it. My prayer is that it will be outlawed in my generation.

Zack: abortion is morally wrong, it is mass murder and I want to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves.

The responses of these young men give me hope for the future. They are not a self-absorbed, me generation (like mine was...) They see a moral wrong and want to be part of the solution in righting it.
They endured a sweaty, hot day standing for hours with no reward other than knowing three babies were saved yesterday. How are you spending your summer?

2 Corinthians 4:6

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
